I have two reactions, Louis. First, rejection is subjective. What one person loves, another may not like at all. That is why there are books on every subject in every genre. Second, the times I got rejected have forced me to improve, not settle for what I only thought was my best work. All said, if you can give up writing, it may mean you should use it as a creative hobby, not as a career. It sounds harsh, but I’ve tried quitting because it was so discouraging, but after a couple of weeks rejecting the blank page, it somehow always won.
